Cupcake Babies is a story woven with culinary inspiration and a single mum's desire for a better baby-bathing experience.

Alexandra, a parents magazine author & editor and mother of three, found herself contemplating a solution to the common challenges of bathing infants while baking cupcakes. The cupcake's gentle, curved form sparked an idea that would lead to the design of the Cupcake Babies Small Baths, designed for newborns up to one year. This innovative bath utilizes inflatable vertical tubes to create a comfortable and supportive platform that fits in any standard sink, offering a lightweight and compact alternative to traditional baby baths. Fueled by her own post-C-section discomfort and the lack of ergonomic bathing options, Alexandra combined her marketing expertise, childcare knowledge, and midwife feedback to bring Cupcake Babies to life, prioritizing comfort and convenience for both mother and child.

After the creation of the Cupcake Babies Small bath for newborns, she designed the Cupcake Babies Big Baths for toddlers up to 8 years.

About the Founder

Alexandra Kerckhof

Fueled by her own post-C-section discomfort and the lack of ergonomic bathing options, Alexandra combined her marketing expertise, childcare knowledge, and midwife feedback to bring Cupcake Babies to life, prioritizing comfort and convenience for both mother and child.

The Cupcake Babies bath is more than just an inflatable tub; it embodies the expectations of modern parents seeking products that meet their needs without compromise.

 In 2019, Alexandra established Aloha Kids bv, a sole woman-owned company. Responding to popular demand during the Covid pandemic, she expanded the product line with the Cupcake Babies Big Bath, catering to children aged one to eight years.

In 2025, upon reception of the US Patent on the Cupcake Babies Baths & the Award of Best Bath tub, she decided to enter US market by spring 2026.

Cupcake Babies will be attending ABC Kids Expo this May 2026 in Las Vegas.
